WPC: His Ever Present Grace

Topic : Stepping Out In Grace and Faith

Verses: Matthew 14:22-34, 2 Corinthians 6:2, James 1:4, 1 John 5:2, Philippians 4:13

He has called us to stand out, to burn as shining beacons in a world clouded with the cloak of sin and darkness. It takes a special kind of boldness to be a true Christian.

 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV);

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

If we are indeed to be bold as the children of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, we need the Holy Spirit at every minute and moment of the day. The soundness of mind required to navigate our everyday lives must be grounded in the WORD, and nothing else. Jesus is the living Word, and the Holy Spirit is ever there to remind us, guide us, comfort us and reprove us in moments of sin.
I’ve found the ease to overcome everyday viles; little white lies, spite, bouts of anger and all the little sins that dim our beacons is to always be in commue with the Holy Spirit.
Sounds impossible……its not.

Philippians 4:13 KJV;

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

The Holy Spirit is inside us, instead of relying on our worldly minds, substituting his guidance for our thoughts I’ve found is so liberating. Relying on him for the very words we speak means we will steadily and surely say only the right words at the right moment to the right people.
Its no easy feat, a mind that has ruled itself for so long will not so easily be lead. It all begins when you determine in your heart to only speak as directed by The Spirit, praying for the grace and strength needed day by day.
By his grace we are more than able.

AMEN.
