WPC: His Ever Present Grace

Topic : Stepping Out In GraceĀ and Faith

Verses: Matthew 14:22-34, 2 Corinthians 6:2, James 1:4, 1 John 5:2, PhilippiansĀ 4:13

He has called us to stand out, to burn as shining beacons in a world clouded with the cloak of sin and darkness. It takes a special kind of boldness to be a true Christian.

Ā 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV);

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

If we are indeed to be bold as the children of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, we need the Holy Spirit at every minute and moment of the day. The soundness of mind required to navigate our everyday lives must be grounded in the WORD, and nothing else. Jesus is the living Word, and the Holy Spirit is ever there to remind us, guide us, comfort us and reprove us in moments of sin.
I’ve found the ease to overcome everyday viles; little white lies, spite, bouts of anger and all the little sins that dim our beacons is to always be in commue with the Holy Spirit.
Sounds impossible……its not.

Philippians 4:13 KJV;

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

The Holy Spirit is inside us, instead of relying on our worldly minds, substituting his guidance for our thoughts I’ve found is so liberating. Relying on him for the very words we speak means we will steadily and surely say only the right words at the right moment to the right people.
Its no easy feat, a mind that has ruled itself for so long will not so easily be lead. It all begins when you determine in your heart to only speak as directed by The Spirit, praying for the grace and strength needed day by day.
By his grace we are more than able.

AMEN.

Weekly Message: To Cut OFF

TOPIC : To Cut Off

VERSES: Matthew 5:30, 2 Thess 3:6, 1 Samuel 2:9, Zechariah 4:6, Daniel 1:8, Philippians 3:13, Lake 18:8, 2 Corinthians 13:5, Romans 6:11-12

Ā Life is an endless process, we grow and live everyday. Learning, meeting new and discarding old thoughts and things but why then is it so hard to sever ties with people we know to be bad for us. It’s inborn, the need to hold on. Babies have deathlike grips especially with people they instinctively like. We read in the Bible again and again, if your had will cause you to sin it is better to cut it off than the whole body be condemned.
Matthew 5:30;

hebrews-4-16-kjv

This verse applies very strongly to friendships that will cause you harm but you still allow out of an innate fear of the unknown. It’s no easy feat to say No or to walk away or cut all ties to a friend of so many years despite the troubles. Here is where the overflowing grace becomes our strength, all we need is to go to The Lord in prayer;

Hebrews 4:16;
hebrews-4-16-kjv
Asking for the strength to do what needs to be done, sometimes slowly or in some cases drastically. As we seek his face for strength he will surely supply beyond our need.
AMEN.
